The widespread deployment of the Internet over the past ten years has radically

Solutions and BlueFire Enterprise Switching Solutions families.
As part of NEC's Business Anywhere initiative, BlueFire Access Solutions, extend
the reach of reliable and secure business-critical communications throughout the
organization, including company headquarters, branch offices, home offices and employees
on the road. From large central site routing with multi-service capabilities (for
integrating legacy technologies like ATM and Frame Relay) to secure remote-worker
VPN solutions, BlueFire Access Solutions enable network designers to select capabilities
designed for specific business needs, assuring a more efficient and cost-effective
implementation.
BlueFire Enterprise Switching Solutions provide workgroup LAN switching, edge, and
core IP connectivity and offer a broad range of capabilities with completely non-blocking
switch fabrics that range from 8Gbps to 96Gbps (16Gbps through 192Gbps, full-duplex,
bi-directional). These solutions allow network designers to select the precise capacity
for their specific business applications. BlueFire Enterprise Switching Solutions
include Layer 3 functionality for core enterprise applications as well as Layer
2 functionality with Power Over Ethernet (PoE) to support IP phone sets for businesses
that are implementing a converged environment.
